The week in numbers

Ian Willans18 May - 19:28

Lots to celebrate as the season goes into full swing

96 - The week started last Sunday with 96 U9s and their families enjoying our festival, great job by our coaches and volunteers

200 - pounds profit made by Ian & Sonya Goforth selling tea, coffee, bacon and sausage sandwiches to all the attendees. Great work, valuable funds for the club, if you're ever wondering how you can help the club we all love just ask, there's always something

3 - wins out of 5 for our juniors this week (we wont mention the seniors haha)

115 - runs for Jacob Cumming, his first of hopefully many hundreds for the club. Well Batted

97 - unbeaten runs for Charlie Richardson, well played Charlie and reward for our brave captains giving youngsters prominence in the game to aid their development.

61 - Different members playing senior cricket this weekend, find me another club with such vibrancy and depth

1- A first call up to the Yorkshire senior squad for Alice Acklam. Good luck this week Alice, enjoy every moment we're very proud

2- Young lads, James Shaw and Oscar Elliott doing what they do best helping Yorkshire U14s beat Leicestershire this week

12- Ladies at nets this week, lots of girls taking GCSEs at the moment hitting numbers a bit, if you or your daughter want to try the game contact our skipper Helen Mayoh. Good luck to all our young ones taking exams this month

1- broken lawnmower spewing hot oil over the grass making a rather fetching (for now) stripe in the back pitch outfield

1- Bowling machine left out overnight after nets. Really? That's sad

5- wickets today for one of our new members Lawrence Grant and yesterday for one of our own Greg Whyley. Welcome to the club Lawrence and well bowled lads

6 - for Ian Goforth, why stop at 5?
